Can I use oil on oily skin

In 90’s and 00’s oil- free skincare products were super popular. Sure it may sound counter-intuitive to apply oil to skin that is already in oil-producing overdrive or prone to acne, but it may just be the fix your skin needs after all.

A few things to keep in mind. Research has shown people with acne-prone skin already have high amounts of oleic acid and low amounts of linoleic acid present in the skin. This means it’s important to select oils that contain higher amounts of linoleic acid and lower amounts of oleic acid to help balance the skin.

Here are some oils we recommend and it’s best to look for cold-pressed oils to receive the maximum amount of nutrients and benefits for your skin.
