Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Georgia. I was born and live in Athens. I lived several years in the countryside to studies and I still travel often for work or leisure. 4 years ago, I decided to quit my job and started experimenting with the manufacture of soaps. Step by step, I started discovering the incredible beauty secrets behind every leaf, flower, stem. I found myself fascinated by the study of herbs and ‘magical’ fruits, whose existence I was not aware before. I attended a 2-year seminar, investigated for hours, conducted experiments, traveled in nature …One thing led to another, and eventually I found myself experimenting over gas canisters, metered dose tubes and beakers. So, here I am with my complete recipes … and experiments constantly carry on, in the endeavor of new discoveries…
What inspires you and where do your ideas come from?
Anything real / original.
What are your favorite materials?
Wild greek herbs and berries.
Why should somebody buy handmade?
Mass production will never be in place of fulfilling each person’s’ unique needs.
Apart from creating things, what do you do?
I always try to spend each day in a nice manner, without expecting something better to happen in an undefined moment of the future.
How do you promote your work?
Exploiting social media, but mainly via the word of mouth experience my products offer to those who try them.
Tell us about your working space.
It is a fragrant space where all these magnificent natural materials are ubiquitous, in little jars and bottles.
Which is your favourite tool?
My laboratory spatula, with which I stir all my mixtures and blends. It is actually my hand extension!
